0.1.4 (Kilburn Park) released
Version 0.1.4 (Kilburn Park) brings with it a lot of background fixes and some new features.
The upcoming 0.2 release is scheduled to include a level designer that players can use to design their own levels, and I will be using that to make the game levels rather than juggling JSON data around. Until then, this release has the three initial levels included.
I've been going through a lot of the sourcecode for the game, ensuring everything is properly documented. Predictably, this has resulted in several occasions where I've looked at the code and wondered exactly what I was on when I wrote it, and a flurry of rewriting and refactoring has gone on. Hopefully this will result in some bugs having been removed before they were noticed!
I've also taken the chance to make some more visible changes:
- The in-game camera system has been reworked to allow for much smoother operation and it now supports zooming in and out with the mouse wheel.
- The robot mini views in the top left and top right of the display should now correctly adapt to different screen resolutions.
- When a robot has a command list set, you can now click on an individual command in the list to start the robot executing from than command, rather than just from the start.
